I've taken multiple vehicles to Lake City Auto Care for a couple years now, and I couldn't be happier with the service. Robert, the Service Manager, and his team of mechanics consistently provide exceptional customer service and quality work. Everyone is friendly, patient, and—most importantly—honest. They take the time to explain what needs to be done, never recommend unnecessary repairs, and always treat us with respect. It's hard to find an auto repair shop you can truly trust, and Lake City Auto Care has earned our confidence time and time again. Due to a significant oil leak I had to have the car towed into LCAC, expecting the worst ($$$$), Robert and his team quickly identified the cause… a double-gasket on the oil filter (done by an oil change shop) had been the culprit. The problem was fixed quickly, and a full evaluation of any other work needed was completed. I would only use LCAC for any work on my vehicles. Oh, they were priced very fair! ($)

I had a coupon for a discount on an oil change and thought I’d try them out to see how they compared to the place I normally take my car for oil changes. They completed the work quickly and gave me an honest review of other issues my vehicle had. They gave me an itemized list of everything that needed to be worked on and how much it would cost. They were very helpful in reviewing that list with me, letting me know what was the most urgent & how long I could safely put the work off. They were professional and courteous despite the fact that I had completely missed my scheduled appointment the week before. Would highly recommend them. I think I’ve found my regular mechanic.

Originally brought my truck in to get a misfire code diagnosed after suspecting a bad cam and lifters (an unfortunately common issue on these trucks). They stated they tested coils, plugs and injector pulse but still recommended replacing the injectors. I decided to replace the single injector myself to help narrow down before replacing all 8. When the problem persisted I called back to let them know and request a quote on a new cam and set of lifters. I was immediately met with defense and argument. - “No way it’s bad lifters compression check was normal!”(Compression check will diagnose sealing issues, which won’t be a problem if valves aren’t opening) - “well I told you to replace all 8 injectors!” (I was planning on doing that if I discovered that replacing one solved the misfire) - “Well it’s possible the one you installed was bad. Bring it in and we’ll test them” (you already said you tested the injectors) - “There’s no way you have a bad cam and lifters on only 177K miles.” (I’ve seen guys get this job done at 75k. It’s a common problem on this motor.) I think they were just mad that I replaced an injector without them which I understand. You have to pay your employees. But

Cannot recommend them enough. Top shelf care and service. THEY ACTUALLY CARED. The service manager was engaged and understanding of my needs and concerns. They made the effort to squeeze me in during their peak season on the fly (which is a 10/10 in my book!). Everything about Lake City was positive. They went above and beyond including me following up the next day about a non related issue. You will not find a better auto shop in the CDA area. 10/10 would recommend.
